Porsche has won the hearts of Americans by three models — Cayenne, Cayman and Macan (pictured). The three best, by the way, there are two other brands: Chevrolet (Colorado, Corvette, Sonic) and Ford (C-Max, Expedition, F-150).

Power released the results of the annual survey APEAL (Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout), which for 20 years reveals the best brands and models of cars in the US. From February to may were interviewed more than 84 000 buyers and tenants owning new cars for 90 days. People evaluated their vehicles on 77 parameters. In the end, the rating on a scale of 1000 points. Compared with the previous year’s total assessment APEAL increased by four points. The average result in the premium segment improved by just one point, while the mass sector grew by five. Well, a leading brand Americans again recognized Porsche, which holds first place for 11 years.

Researchers at J. D. Power also found that some security systems contribute to a significant increase in the rating. For example, the overall assessment among owners of vehicles equipped with monitoring dead zones, 38 points higher. This function have 36% of the respondents of the owners, and 69% of them use it every day. The respondents admitted that they are willing to pay extra for the detection of «blind spots» of an average of $750. Technology, previously available only in the premium class, stepped in the mass sector, and American drivers have appreciated it, putting their cars higher scores than the owners of luxury cars with the same filling.
