The new product was named after the small Italian town of Tivoli, located nearly 30 km from Rome. Why such an honour given to this locality is uncertain.

In over the last three years, the company SsangYong preparing to launch a new crossover, simultaneously releasing concepts that predicted a production model. The last prototype was shown in the autumn of this year at the motor show in Paris — this show cars XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure (we have seen the XIV-1, XIV-2 and e-XI).

The dimensions of the crossover Tivoli unknown, but the concepts had 4195 mm in length (wheelbase of 2600 mm).

Recently, the network appeared the first images of the production model is true, this is just the drawings. Most importantly, it became known name: serial compact crossover will be named SsangYong Tivoli. On sale in Korea, the car will be available in January next year, while other markets will appear in the middle of 2015.

Standard equipment includes ventilated driver’s seat, rearview camera, Keyless access and multimedia system.

Still no evidence of a technical stuffing of the crossover. Recall that all previous concepts were equipped with engines 1.6, petrol and diesel. Gasoline «turbocore» develops 205 HP and 280 N•m, while the diesel produces 150 HP and 360 N•m most Likely, serial Tivoli will get the same engines, and buyers can choose between mono — and four-wheel-drive versions.
